New Slippers for Winter

Adult Mary Jane Skimmers

You can purchase the pattern here. >>>> Adult Mary Jane Skimmers

Very easy with minimal crochet skills and the stitches you can find a how-to's for.

Treble Stitch < click there
Double Crochet Stitch < click there
Single Crochet Stitch < click there

I suggest you measure the foot with a ruler to get an actual measurement,
I wear a 10/11 women's shoe, but used a smaller size for the pattern, so the slipper wouldn't come off.

"Ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure!"
Measure the foot, from heal to top of big toe.

Crochet Hawaiian Lei

Mom loved Hawaii

I made this to be placed on her headstone.
She love being on the beach.
She always talked about how much she enjoyed herself when she was there.

"It's Beautiful.", she would say.

Another Hello Kitty Backpack

Here we go again. I liked the color of the first one much better.

Hello Kitty (front)

Hello Kitty (back)

I was going to put a lining it but time got away from me.
The young lady this was worked for is now in her 20's almost 30.
Who knows what she's going to use it for.

Size: 8 " tall with flap up, 9" with flap down.
17" around, base worked in an oval.
Then worked even up the side.

Homemade Soap

Everyone uses soap, I prefer to make ours, suprisingly the Hubby likes it too.

The dark places in the soap are lavender I picked from the bed I have.

This will keep us about a year.

I'll need to make make in the fall to cure for spring.

Hello Kitty Child's Backpack

Hello Kitty Girls Backpack
front

back

A forever friend of mine's grand-daughter has leukemia, and has been going through treatments for the past 2 years of her life and she is only 3.

Elly is a little girl full of life and enjoyment.

My friend expressed to me how much her grand-daughter loves Hello Kitty and her birthday is this coming weekend.

I couldn't help myself but to work this for her to have the backpack.

My friend and her husband are traveling to the grand-daughters home to celebrate this weekend, I wish them safe travels, and come home soon.

This is the pattern I used to make the backpack.

I worked these with left over yarns from other projects.

Large plastic jax's and balls make a really nice treat for rainy days.

Creamy Yellow Tank Top

I was beginning to think I would never finish, but persistence pays off!

I love this yarn, got it cheap at our local Big Lot store a few years ago, and that is exactly when I began to make it.

I searched for a long time for a pattern that even went to big girl size. Then put it away for other obligations. Picked it back up after school was out for the summer, it was on my list to finish.

Here it is, needs to be tidied up (loose yarn), but that is an evening thing watching TV.

I like it, gonna wear it to,
some project I either give away or never wear again.

Gotta lunch later in the week, yep gonna brag!

The booklet for this pattern is no longer published.

Baby Cocoon

BABY COCOON

Our model today
is
Sissy

Sissy is a little worn, but she is up to the task.

Sissy is a rescue doll, I'm not even sure she has adoption papers, I took her from the trash.

Sissy's little sister is a rescue too.

Her name is Sunny, she didn't have adoption papers either.

Sunny is a bit smaller, a preemie.

They were rescued at different times in different places, but they are true sisters.

Today Sissy is going to model a Baby Cocoon.

This baby cocoon was made with a Needle Crafters Yarn, a product of Canada.
The color is Fushia, has 35 yards per 50 gram ball.
This cocoon took 8 skeins of Poof Yarn.

I reworked a pattern to make the cocoon.

It worked up in just a couple evenings. Be ready, it isn't a lightweight cocoon.

I made a comment to my husband it would make a nice rug.
