Book Pillow

Posting this a couple months late, I worked this Dec. 29 2014-Jan. 2, 2015

I couldn't believe I found this.

A book pillow

Perfect way to keep everything together, charging station, use in bed while resting.

I used leftover yarn as you can tell, no need to have more left over yarn.
It works up quick, sewing skills could be helpful, the next one I'll pay more attention and fill all the sides the same.

Yes it's in 2 parts, but easier to follow, you won't get lost wondering throught the pattern and become confused.

Only took a couple days to work up.

til next time,

Connie

Found this pattern around Christmas 2014, looks so pretty just had to try and work it. The pattern works quickly and pretty easy to follow.

I'm working one in Red Heart Super Saver, in Rouge, I love the color of this yarn. Hoping to have a fair entry. Also, trying to make it a little larger than the suggested 35 inches.

Will update soon.

til next time,

Tis` the Season' for Elf on the Shelf

Elf on the shelf

When I began making this guy I thought, "WOW" he's going to be huge but only stands about 13 inches tall. I used scraps.
I found the pattern here at holiday-shelf-elf
It works up quick, she uses the,

fsc = foundation single crochet

which I am totally
unfamiliar with so I used the chain and single crochet.

The tree is also a new crochet. The pattern for it can be found here at
O' Christmas Tree,

I added gold and silver pony beads to the crocodile stitch for ornaments.
I like it. We have a tree.

Merry Christmas 2014

New bag without a pattern

I needed a new bag for winter. With inspiration from this pattern on ravelry Sack Dress Bag, I worked this bag. Trying my hand at working up a pattern.

The thumbs up Budda was just a fluke. Somethings just happen like that.

Trista's knitted doll

This is s funny story,
I have grandkids I rarely see but the ones I do visit with I make them crocheted toys.
I crocheted the oldest boy a Sonic Plushie, and a Tails Plushie, (the designer does wonderful work, I would like to THANK her for making 2 young Sonic fans very happy) his cousin seen them and needed to have them for his very own.
Being the Grandma I am, he got them.
Never seen a child be so delighted over a handmade toy.
While I was busy working the Boys dolls, the girls wanted dolls too.
With Red Heart Yarn no longer producing the Lt peach super saver yarn my quantities were limited. I searched for the yarn in thrift stores, found enough to work this doll. The last one.

She just loves her knitted doll

There are many free patterns for dolls.

It is crochet, she just believes it's knitted, which is fine, she's happy.

til next time.

Easter Crochet 2014

Easter Doll 2014

This is the largest doll I have made to date. I was surprised just how big it is.
When I found the pattern it was only published in Turkish, I think, but the designer then released it in English, kinda. It isn't a written pattern and you MUST understand how to make a doll to really make this a good looking doll.

I found the doll it this blog.  but can't find the English sheet. Guess it's a good thing I downloaded it when I did.

As you can see the doll is at least 21 inches long.

It needed clothes.

It only has a wig, no hair. I really don't care for nude dolls.

Easter was coming and she needed something to wear along with some hair.

Using eyelash yarn hair was given to the doll in my personal favorite hairstyle,
The Mullet.

This dress was created with a combination of patterns. The top of the dress is a Beth Webber design. Found here, Comfort and Joy
The bottom of the dress is worked in Morning Glory Barbie Dress.
You will need to scroll down the page a bit.
The name of the blog is Lullaby and Lace. It has many nice patterns.

UPDATE: May 28, 2016
It would appear the link is no longer valid for the
Morning Glory Fashion Doll Dress, glad I printed it.
From Ravelry page comments:
Even though the website is no longer in existence, patterns are available on Wayback.
This particular one may be found at the following:

Not much else,
Hope your Spring is filled with the pleasant smell of wildflowers.
