My hat pattern

I tried and tried to work other hat (beanie) patterns to fit children and adults and just couldn't get a good fit, so I tried to work my own, and this is what I come up with. If anyone out there has copyrighted this pattern please contact me and I will remove it, but if not I'm claiming it. lol!

Ashley Nichole and her Golden

Ashely Nichole

A Bleutte doll design by Beth Webber

I was asked to make this as a gift for a young lady, as I was finishing up the doll, it came.. to me the the little girl has a dog, the Aunt, never told me this when she asked for the doll to be made.
After contacting the Aunt, she informed me the girl did indeed have a dog but the dog had went to live with her Dad, after a divorce. It is a Golden Retriever, I used another Beth Webber pattern for the dog. Also found on the Beth Webber blog http://www.byhookbyhand.blogspot.com/

Beth Webber has a remarkable skill. I am very grateful she shares her handiwork.

Thank you Mis Beth.

The doll also has undies that are a Beth Webber pattern.
The dress is a combination of Miss Webber's Mock smock stitch, (also on her blog) and the skirt is from a pattern called "Morning Glory Dress for a fashion doll". I found it while looking for something else on Ravelry.

UPDATE: The link for the Morning Glory Dress, I checked the link and you can't access it anymore, it was free, don't know what happened. Sorry. Good thing I downloaded the pattern, I have a couple dresses for American Girl Dolls that want the skirt pattern.

Oscar the Grouch hat

I was asked about making hats. Never considered it, since so many make hats.
This is my effort at it.

Pay no attention to the lady gnome that refuses to be finished.

It's the grouch hat she's wearing!

The pattern can be found here at; Girl in the Air, but scroll down the page, it's there.

I worked it in half double crochet, I wanted it to be warm for the winter.
Since posting it to my facebook, many have asked about it.
So I'm on my way as soon as I finish the puppy to go with a doll that's just about finished.

Time is marching on, today we found that winter storms will now have names. In Central Illinois that could be a very good thing.

Harvest is finished but we are thinking about cold frames for winter vegetables.

More companies are laying off during the Christmas season, which will surely lead to more uncertainty, and people needing more help.

As for the Lady Gnome, she is going to be finished liking it or not. She has been trying to make up her mind for at least a year or more.

Everyone, continue to count your blessing and pray that God will bring peace to all that seek it.

til next time,
